Shopify ownership transfer

Move your store in a few clear steps.

Follow the client steps to start the transfer. Once the email arrives, our team will take it from there.

Start the store transfer

You must be logged in as the current store owner. Most transfers take only a few minutes to start.

Open Shopify admin  →
This changes the Shopify store owner.

It is more than granting access. Only continue if you have agreed to move ownership to our team.

What to click

  1. Open General settings

    In Shopify admin, go to Settings → General.

  2. Open transfer options

    Find Organizations and store transfers , then click Manage.

  3. Choose the new-owner option

    Select Transfer store to a new owner outside your business , then click Continue.

  4. Verify your identity

    If Shopify asks, click Authenticate and complete the security check.

  5. Enter our Shopify email

    Enter bob@simplesitecompany.com exactly as shown.

  6. Send the transfer

    Click Transfer. Shopify will email us an invitation to accept ownership.

If our email is already listed as a user on your store—or if the store is on Shopify Plus—pause and contact us before continuing. Shopify uses a different path in those cases.
