Important Announcements of the Week:

➞ STAY TUNED FOR OUR UPCOMING Q3 WEB DEVELOPMENT TEAM PRESENTATION

Your Dev Leads are aiming to have the Q3 Team Meeting/Quarterly Presentation completed and delivered to your inboxes by next Monday, October 13th, so look out for that and feel free to reach out with any feedback!

➞ COGNITO FORMS EMAIL SETTINGS: BE SURE TO CHECK THAT THEY ARE CORRECT

As the title states, our Purple/Delivery Team has noticed an increase in Cognito Forms that are not connected to the correct client email address. Please be sure to double-check these settings moving forward!

➞ SOURCING STOCK PHOTOS? PLEASE AVOID THE DUDA IMAGE LIBRARY AND PEXELS

We've noticed for a while that the stock images selected by freelancers from the Duda image library and/or Pexels are not optimal, most of the time. Due to the majority being vertically oriented or from Europe, it is best to avoid these sources. Instead, we urge you to use our Image Database, which we add to often, or Canva. If you notice an area where images seem to be lacking, reach out to a Dev Lead for assistance!

*** If you need clarification or assistance with any of the above announcements, feel free to reach out to your Dev Leads. ***

CORRECT FOOTER HYPERLINKING: IT MATTERS!

All of the sites we create have a Footer section that usually contains the same elements; a logo, the client's email address, and their phone number. It is easy to overlook these, but having the logo connected to the Homepage is a key to streamlined UI/UX. Additionally, it could be potentially disastrous if a site is delivered with the contact information connected to the donor site's information. So, please remember the following:

  • Logo: Ensure the logo is linked to go back to the top of the Homepage.
  • Phone Number: Use a  tel: link so users can "click-to-call." Remove donor phone number from all meta settings, and check the Business Schema to be sure.
  • Email Address: Use a  mailto: link so it opens a mail application right away. Remove donor email address from all meta settings, and check the Business Schema to be sure.

These may seem like very simple steps, but they go a long way in avoiding unhappy customers!
