Important Announcements of the Week:
Apologies in advance for the wall of text below, but there are several VERY IMPORTANT reminders this week, so please read them carefully and ensure you apply them to your future projects. Thank you! - Your Dev Leads
➞ ONLY USE FONTS THAT ARE FULLY COMMERCIAL-FREE:
As designers, it's our responsibility to ensure we're using legally compliant and safe assets. Always choose fonts that are explicitly licensed for commercial use. Don’t assume a font uploaded into Duda is automatically licensed—always verify the licensing yourself before using it.
➞ AVOID COPYING REFERENCE OR INSPIRATION WEBSITES:
You can draw design inspiration from client-provided reference sites, but NEVER replicate their layouts, graphics, written copy, or any distinctive design elements. Copying directly can lead to legal issues for our clients. If you’re ever unsure, reach out to the designated PM or a Dev Lead for clarification.
IMPORTANT NOTE: In case there's any confusion, the above does not apply to our standard REPLICATE site projects.
➞ MAINTAINING DEADLINES & TIMELY SUBMISSIONS:
Meeting deadlines is one essential key to client satisfaction. If you're unable to complete a task on time,
notify Jazzie
immediately so she can reassign it. Be sure to submit sites for
Pre-Check or Review 1/2 at least 2–3 days before the due date to ensure timely delivery, whether or not collaboration is needed.
*** If you need clarification or assistance with any of the above announcements, feel free to reach out to your Dev Leads. ***
Your Weekly Tip From a Dev Lead

Sophie
A PERSONAL NOTE FROM SOPHIE:
This week, instead of sharing a design or technical tip, I wanted to let you all know that I’ve made the difficult decision to resign from my position as Dev Lead and Team Trainer at Simple in order to pursue a new career opportunity. I’ll be here for one more week, with my last day being Friday, November 21, 2025.
Training all of you has been one of the most rewarding aspects of my role, and I’m incredibly grateful for the relationships I’ve built and the experience I’ve gained during my time here.
I’ll miss working alongside each of you, but I’ll be cheering you on as you continue to create amazing sites for Simple.
Please don’t hesitate to reach out before the 21st—I’d love to say goodbye 1-on-1.
Thank you for everything!
