Important Announcements of the Week:
➞ NOTICE ABOUT IMAGE QUALITY, CP VS. STOCK PHOTOS, AND IMAGE REPETITION:
Images and their placement are critical for a successful, professional website. Prioritize client-provided or sourced images over stock photos, focusing on high-quality, relevant visuals. Tools like the Imageye extension can help sort images by resolution before downloading, which is very helpful and saves time.
Avoid repeating images on the same page and redundant dynamic images. Ensure each image is directly relevant to the service or keyword it accompanies. If needed, a quick Google Image search can help you find accurate visual depictions that reflect the client's business and shows that we understand what they do.

STREAMLINED BUTTONS:
SMALL DETAIL, BIG IMPACT.
One thing that can easily get overlooked during a build is button styling. Buttons have the important role of guiding users through the site, so keeping them consistent plays a big role in the overall user experience and ensures a professional, detail-oriented design. Here some vital things to double-check on your next site:
1. Size and Shape
Make sure all buttons across the site follow are
same size and have the same border radius. If some are square and others are rounded, the site starts to feel messy.
Pick one style and stick to it.
Ensure this style is applied in and streamlined
in all views (desktop, mobile, and tablet.)
2. BG Color and Hover State
Button colors should match the brand colors, especially the logo. This helps keep the design unified and intentional. Check hover states too, and make sure they stay within the same established palette.
3. Text Formatting
Use one button text format for the entire site. Either all caps, title case, or sentence case. Consistency helps users recognize actions faster. Ensure the
sizing of the text is streamlined in both desktop and mobile views.
4. Link Integrity
Make sure every action button points to the correct page. Eliminate donor links and dead ends. This is especially important for Contact, Quote, and other CTA buttons.
Keep the button content varied, avoiding
consecutive buttons with the same label or destination.
These small details add up and determine the success of the website's overall look and functionality, while ensuring a smooth and streamlined user experience.
