When making a background video for your site's Hero Banner, there are a few important tips to remember. First, be conscious of choosing stock footage that is location-appropriate and pleasant to look at. You should choose around 3–4 clips of footage that can be nicely spliced together, or an attractive, smoothly-looping single clip will work just fine. It is also important to note that you do not need to use any transitions between, before, or after each video clip. Doing so will likely result in multiple seconds of black space at the beginning or end of your video, something that must be avoided!

Finding good images to use for lesser-known or very specific subject matter can be difficult. If you ever find yourself in need of images that better fit the content on your site, try using Wiki Commons. Wiki Commons is an invaluable resource for finding the specific images you need for your website, and the best part is that the majority of images are available under Creative Commons licenses. This allows for free use on commercial projects, as long as the image falls under this specific license (keep this in mind when looking for images to use on your site).
